Laura is a psychologist who engages clients on a genuine level with her sense of humour and down to earth approach to therapy. She has a unique perspective both as a neurodivergent individual and as a parent to two neurodivergent children (both now adults). This allows her to really connect with clients, getting to the heart of issues quickly to find practical solutions for healing and growth.
Laura's professional journey has revolved around helping children, teens and adults with a range of presentations including ADHD, Autism, anxiety, attachment, trauma, and complex mental health conditions such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar Disorder. Laura draws upon a diverse background in private practice, corrections, and acute crisis response within an emergency environment and tailors her therapeutic style to each individual. Her diverse toolkit includes approaches like DBT, CBT, schema therapy, internal family systems, narrative therapy, and solution-focused brief intervention.
Outside the therapy room, Laura spends as much time as she can Jetskiing where she is able to combine her love of the water, with the exhilaration of speed to feed her soul and recharge her batteries. Laura offers sessions in person or via videoconference, accepting NDIS, Medicare and private clients.
