Jessica is a committed & professional counsellor who provides counselling for adult individuals and couples. She completed a Master of Counselling at Morling College in Sydney & has been part of a team of Christian counselling professionals at Bridges Counselling since completing her degree. Jess' client-centered, emotionally-focused approach aims to gently help people discover the emotional roots of their core issues and provide tools to bring about lasting change. Jess supports couples to build trust, commitment and openness in communication and individuals overcoming past trauma, suffering grief & loss, and transitioning into adulthood. She is able to sensitively integrate faith issues for Christian clients. Jess work with people, not just their diagnosis. Her approach to helping is based on her belief that each person is infinitely valuable & unique and has their own way of seeing the world and experiencing it. Each person's story and journey is different & she tailors counselling towards her clients' needs & what is comfortable for them. Jess works with an integrated and hollistic approach that incorporates a variety of perspectives such as Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Creative Therapy & Psychosomatic Therapy. Her clients include Christians and non-Christians & come from different ages, backgrounds, cultures, spiritualities, & stages of life. Jess sees her clients as the expert of their own story and journey. She utilises a collaborative approach to understand what their potent issues are, upholding their self-worth and autonomy in decision-making and working towards change. She is committed to providing a safe, non-judgemental and caring space for clients to explore emotions & empowering them through a process of self-discovery & awareness in order to build up their strengths & potential. She truly believes that given the emotional support, every person is capable of and has the capacity to heal & change.

Katherine is a qualified counsellor having gained a Masters of Counselling (and receiving the Counselling Prize) through Morling College. Katherine is able to provide counselling for both individual and couple therapy, working with those are experiencing a range of life's difficulties including trauma, abuse, domestic violence, depresssion, anxiety, stress, grief and relationship issues. Katherine is passionate about facilitating a safe space where clients can be free to explore their issues, find their potential and discover hope. This is facilitated through developing a collaborative relationship where both client and therapist work together around exploring issues and defining goals, genuinely valuing the worth and unique perspective that each client brings, respecting, validating and empowering clients and drawing on an integrative approach to tailor therapy to individual needs. . Katherine brings a breadth of professional, personal and ministry experience to the role. She trained initially as a Physiotherapist, working for over 10 years with children and adults with both physical and intellectual disabilities. She has also had many years of pastoral experience with youth, young adults and facilitating marriage preparation courses.
