Dr Ghosh is a medical doctor with specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He trained in London and Cambridge, UK. He has 15 years’ experience of working in Psychiatry and was a consultant psychiatrist in the UK for 5 years before he emigrated with his young family to Australia in 2014 . He has since been working as Child and Youth Mental Health Psychiatrist in Caboolture, Redcliffe and Kilcoy.
In his clinical practice, he has a particular interest in
- autism spectrum disorders,
- mood disorders,
- PTSD and
- co-morbid ADHD.
Having worked in community outpatient teams, adolescent inpatient units including specialist eating disorder unit, learning disability services and crisis management teams, he is passionate about providing a holistic and recovery focused approach to treatment, involving the young person as well as their family and guardians.
Additionally, he is interested in training trainee psychiatrists and is an author of a book for psychiatry (MRCPsych) clinical examinations. He has held the post of National representative for C&A Psychiatry Advanced trainees for Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. He is also a blogger with an interest in photography and video games.
