Overview

Samantha completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) at UNSW in 2003 before entering the Doctor of Clinical Psychology / Master of Science program at USYD. ​ In 2007, Samantha joined a practice in Redfern, working primarily with anxiety and mood disorders, substance abuse/dependence, post-traumatic stress, personality disorders, and many complex presentations. In 2009, she began working privately at the Brain & Mind Research Institute in Camperdown, where she continued specialising in the above as well as gaining extra specialties in patients coping with neurological and other physical conditions and relationship difficulties. ​ Samantha has a passion for teaching, training, and speaking. She has lectured and tutored at USYD for nine years, trained GP's and nurses in psychological therapies, designed inpatient therapy and staff training programs for aged care facilities, and spoken at national GP Symposia and training events. ​ Samantha has a warm, empathic and respectful approach in treatment, and tailors therapy plans collaboratively according to each individual’s needs, preferences, and style. Her primary therapeutic modalities are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness- and acceptance-based strategies, and couple and family therapies. ​ Samantha also loves travel, and absolutely anything to do with the water!
