Overview

Dr Rebecca Wild is a consultant psychiatrist who provides specialist psychiatric consultation and treatment. Dr Wild is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry, with a Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and further training in Family Therapy. She treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents, and has a particular interest in early intervention with infants and under fives. Building resilience in children and young people is an important focus of her work with them and their families. With this in mind, she will often offer individual psychotherapy or family therapy. She draws on experience in Mindfulness-Based Practice, Mentalization approaches, Positive Psychology, and Psychodynamically Informed Psychotherapy in her therapeutic work, and will use a variety of modalities, including play, to engage children. Given the great potential for work with families or parents to help children get well, referrals for the whole family can be helpful.
