Overview

I am focused on using research and the application of psychological scientific-practitioner knowledge to grow the discipline of Psychology. My research interests include exploring: maladaptive daydreaming, self-care of psychologists, compassion fatigue in health professionals, cyber psychology, the use of humour in the therapeutic setting, the use of creative teaching to train psychology professionals and the development of health-related trauma-focused mental health strategies. I am a Senior Psychologist with over 12,000 hours of providing therapy to clients. I have provided mental health support and psychological therapy to children, young adults and adults. I am an Approved Medicare provider, Approved Work cover provider, an APS Member and a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor, currently supervising Provisional Psychologists/Registered Psychologists and working in private practice at her New Beith residential clinic, offering psychological assessment and interventions.
