Overview

Jake is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist with experience in a range of private and public settings. Jake predominately works with children, adolescents and young adults, completing psychological assessments and counselling. Jake primarily applies evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness strategies in his counselling and is familiar with a wide range of educational, cognitive, and social-emotional-behavioural assessment tools for testing and diagnosis.Jake has completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Monash University and is currently a Doctor of Philosophy of candidate, investigating the use of computer adaptive testing and machine learning to measure intelligence.Jake is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and is a Fellow of the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. Jake has interests in the intersection of psychological research and practice with modern technologies, and is a member of the APS Military and Emergency Services and Psychology Interest Group and the APS ePsychology Interest Group.
