Dr Elizabeth Fyson Consultant Psychiatrist MBBS, M Med (Psychiatry), FRANZCP Qualifications Dr Elizabeth Fyson is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Psychiatrists. Dr Fyson graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2014 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. After being a doctor for three years, she then completed 5 further years of speciality training to become a psychiatrist. During her psychiatric training, Dr Fyson underwent further postgraduate study, completing a Master in Medicine (Psychiatry) from the University of Sydney. Dr Fyson has a special interest in trauma conditions and completed speciality training with Phoenix Australia in trauma-focused therapies. Prior to her medical career, Dr Fyson completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2006 from the University of Sydney and worked in public and private settings as a physiotherapist. Work experience Dr Elizabeth Fyson is a specialist psychiatrist consulting at Mind Oasis Clinic. Dr Fyson completed her psychiatry training in the Illawarra area, under the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, gaining experience in acute mental health settings, community mental health, rural health, addiction, women's health, as well as veterans mental health. Prior to her specialty psychiatry training, Dr Fyson spent three years working as a doctor in obstetrics, paediatrics, and general medicine. Dr Fyson has a holistic approach to her care. She provides individualized and comprehensive care in a non-judgemental manner. Dr Fyson’s focus is to help you achieve your mental health goals and enhance your overall quality of life.
