Carol completed Bachelor of Science, Honours in Applied Psychology, Master of Applied Psychology (Counselling) and Doctor of Psychology (Clinical). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Carol is well versed in various therapeutic modalities including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), creative modalities, and strength-based approaches.
Carol has worked as a psychologist for over 20 years at settings including private practice, mental health and community sectors, and had taken up leadership roles in Psychology clinics and professional training. Carol has expertise with depression, anxiety, stress, and adjustment issues, assisting individuals with general psychological issues and enhancing their resilience, but also has multilingual skills, delivers services in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and interest in working with migrants and clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Carol is dedicated to providing evidence-based therapy, and had research published on assessments and interventions, and a casebook documenting successful therapeutic outcomes.
