Dr Amritash Rai is a Senior Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in psychiatry in Australia, UK and India. Dr Rai sees private patients at Myhealth Helensvale in the Gold Coast as well as Main Street Medical Centre in Hervey Bay. He also sees patients by telehealth. Dr Rai is also a Senior Staff Specialist in Logan CYMHS and works part time for Queensland Health. Dr Amritash Rai has worked as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Australia (Logan Beenleigh Browns Plains, Gold Coast & Fraser Coast) and the UK (Sheffield Children's Hospital and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust). Having worked in the Fraser Coast, Gold Coast as well as Logan, Dr Rai has local knowledge and is familiar with the local health system and has links with a number of health professionals in the area. Dr Amritash Rai is skilled at diagnosis and management of a range of mental health conditions including ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Depression and Anxiety disorders, PTSD, Trauma and Eating Disorders in children and young people. Dr Rai holds FRANZCP (Australia) in addition to the MRCPsych (UK), CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (UK), DipMedSci in Clinical Psychiatry (UK) and an MD in Psychiatry (India). Dr Rai's strengths lie in engaging young people and working with families. In his leisure time, he likes to spend time with his family, watch films, travel and read.
