All our medical practitioners are required to follow prescriber guidelines regarding monthly limits of THC as per NIIM HREC / TGA / AHPRA. This is a daily maximum of 500mg Inhaled THC and 40mg ingested THC.
Prescriptions: both the number of prescriptions and the number of repeats : are at the discretion of the practitioner. Prescriptions discussed or requested by you may not be issued as the doctor will decide the best therapeutically beneficial care plan for you.
Any prescription change requests will attract an administration fee and the doctor will review at their next scheduled shift.
Shared care letters may be requested as certain medical conditions / prescribed medications require additional medical information from your regular doctor / specialist.
Prescriptions issued will be sent via email to the pharmacy along with TGA approvals within two business days of your appointment. We do not send prescriptions directly to the patient.
If you are enrolled in a Drug / Alcohol / Opioid Replacement Program you need permission from that doctor to be prescribed Medicinal Cannabis. Please contact the clinic to assist with obtaining approval letters.
It is your responsibility as a patient to ensure you adhere to your doctor's dosage and monthly limit instructions. Patients who do not adhere to this will be moved to a monthly monitoring system with their doctor.
NB NB: If you have not had a consultation with us for more than 9 months and are a returning patient you are requested to book an initial consultation and complete updated consent and intake forms. Thank you for understanding!
