Chris Kang

Physiotherapist

Chris has worked across multiple physiotherapy settings in the past seven years, working across the age spectrum from children to the elderly. Chris is particularly interested in working with adults who have recently sustained a fall or a fall-related injury. Chris is currently completing a PhD at the University of Newcastle, investigating what attributes in a person are tied to future falls risk. Chris still passionately enjoys working with stroke victims to improve their walking or regaining functional capacity, young athletes, the odd hip and back pain, an angry knee or a stiff neck. Chris has a talent for describing and explaining how the human body works to people from all walks of life, with over ten years of experience teaching at the University of Newcastle. When Chris is not working as a physio, he's either at the University working on his PhD or lecturing human anatomy to medical and allied health students. Otherwise, he is most likely at the gym doing Olympic Weightlifting, pursuing his sporting goals.
