Dr Stine Neerup

Counsellor

I am an animal-assisted Psychotherapist and Relational Therapist and I work with individuals at a psychology clinic in Armadale. I have my beautiful Labrador Irma with me. We both enjoy supporting clients of all ages and genders in creating and maintaining healthy relationships with others and with self. I mainly work with clients who identify as neurodivergent, and I have a special interest in anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. My therapeutic approach is strength-based and empowering. I am guided by a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and person-centred framework. I use a range of therapeutic techniques that encourage my clients to discover their resources to engage with and overcome what may be challenging. Therapy is always animal assisted by Irma my therapy dog. I have completed the Specialist Course in Couples Therapy with Relationship Victoria, and use an integrative approach to couples therapy. I also work with parents using SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) and CPS (Collaborative & Proactive Solutions), and I am trained in supporting gifted and twice exceptional students.
