Kiora Woodford

Occupational Therapist

Kiora is an occupational therapist who is experienced in working with young and older adults with psychiatric disabilities. Kiora currently works casually with Barwon Occupational Therapy as well as full time in a recovery orientated program with both Austin Health and Mind Australia. Kiora also currently volunteers with VACRO in a women's mentoring program. Kiora has done training in motivational interviewing and recent training in 'Environmental Approaches with people who have Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia'. Kiora has completed her studies of 'Helping children with Autism'. Kiora is skilled in sensory modulation, functional assessments and facilitation of practical and recovery orientated groups. Kiora has a gentle and compassionate nature who always has the clients' best interest at heart. Kiora values person centred practice, creativity, health, wellbeing and quality of life. Kiora is committed in continuing to develop her professional skills and knowledge and apply this to her work using evidenced based practice.

Mrs Linda Backus

Occupational Therapist

Linda is an Occupational Therapist who has specialized in mental health, drug and alcohol services over the past 19 years in a variety of settings including acute in-patient and community-based adult mental health as Senior/Occupational Therapist and Senior/Case Management Clinician, adult residential rehabilitation as Senior Occupational Therapist and in community-based aged mental health as Case Manager. Linda has also worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant for 11 years in both the private and public sector assisting people with work-related injuries to return to work and/or develop skills towards achieving an alternative productive and satisfying lifestyle. During her career she has completed many additional training courses including CBT, motivational interviewing, Assessment of Motor and Process Skills, the Perceive, Recall, Plan & Perform System of Task Analysis, Family Sensitive Practice. She has also undertaken research and is published in areas related to mental health case management. Linda is passionate and committed to enhancing the functional independence of people with mental health issues through client-centered assessment and interventions.

Ms Anna Treloar-Tanner

Anna is an Occupational Therapist who is committed to specialising in the field of mental health. She has a broad working experience within primary mental health settings including: acute, sub-acute community rehabilitation, community case management and aged psychiatry. She has worked in psychiatric disability rehabilitation support services (PDRSS) in respite, family support and as a project officer mapping the carer support services in the Barwon region. Anna is a qualified assessor of the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) and has a specialized knowledge in the provision of sensory modulation interventions for adolescents, adults and the aged. In 2015 Anna completed a research project as part of a collaboration with Deakin University Honours Program in the provision and effectiveness of sensory modulation strategies in an acute psychiatric unit.

Tamara Kichakov

Occupational Therapist

Tamara is an Occupational Therapist who has a keen interest in physical health and paediatrics. She is passionate about maximising participation and function in personal, domestic and community tasks and working on goals that are meaningful to clients. Tamara aims to work collaboratively with her clients to achieve specific individual outcomes according to their goals. Tamara has experience working in private practice in an allied health clinic with management of physical dysfunction and pain management which is a role she currently maintains as a Myotherapist alongside starting at Barwon OT. Tamara holds high value in evidence based practice and is committed to continually advancing her education. Tamara recently attended the Autism Forum 2018 run by Pearson Academy.
