Agnieszka Mazus Counsellor (Registrar)

Welcome to my practice, serving couples and individuals. My professional goal is to make every client feel heard, understood and professionally supported. I know that life and relationships can be demanding and complex and I bring empathy, heart and mind into the therapy room, to help clients find better ways of dealing with their everyday life and feel more comfortable with themselves and others. I hold a Master of Counselling from Monash, and have clinical registered level at PACFA. I use evidence-based counselling approaches, such as: Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, ACT, Gottman method, Motivational Interviewing. I rely on the science of attachment and manifestations of childhood attachment in adult life and incorporate current studies on trauma into the counselling interventions. I have worked with hundreds of couples and my work is inclusive and non-judgmental. I have also supported men struggling with loneliness, difficult emotions, and understanding their role in society and women striving to accomplish their potential, as they navigate societal expectations and pressures of the modern life. As a counsellor I am non-judgmental and honor the client's autonomy and life choices.. I invest in professional development, use clinical supervision, and adhere to professional codes of ethics. I am also a certified career coach with 20 years corporate Human Resources experience.
